Ek Deewana Tha (2012) remake of Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa
This South movie remake showed the real trouble that can potentially come with adaptation. The real beauty of the original was lost somewhere in translation or during the screen adapting phase. Either way, the problem was choosing Amy as the lead actress- given she cannot even converse in Hindi properly. Oh, and also, some critics find her makeup another reason for the movie to be a flop.

Tevar (2015) remake of Okkadu
It is obvious to say that this remake isn’t the audience’s favourite. The songs, the acting, and the overacting don’t help the terrible direction either. The original movie won multiple awards and won the hearts of the audience. However, the magic was lost in the Bollywood remake.
Khushi (2003) remake of Kushi
It was back in 2003 when this flop made it to the big screen, and honestly, many people are glad that the nightmare rests in the past. This movie was an unexpected fail – the lead actor and actress were famous and upcoming, and the director was the same for the Telegu and Hindi versions. Maybe this was the movie we needed to realize that chemistry is also what matters. The lead cast’s lack of chemistry and purpose made the movie a miserable bore.
Kyon Ki (2005) remake of Thalavattam
When the original South Indian version director decided to make the Bollywood version of his movie, the world did not expect this. Maybe the problem was that Khan’s charm did not work so well despite his popularity. Sometimes, a movie goes down when you cast the wrong actor in the wrong role – this was one of those movies.
Laxmii (2020) remake of Kanchana
This supernatural chic flick made 2020 even bigger a joke than it already has been. Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani’s new movie, Laxmi Bomb, came out a while back. It has officially been competing to become Bollywood’s worst movie, with ratings as bad as 2.4/10.
