Marvel Comics TV Adaptations

Martin Goodman, a pulp magazine publisher, founded Timely Publications, which eventually became Marvel Comics in 1939. Today, Marvel has become a huge franchise, and it is not wrong to say that it functions as a corporation. They have produced Standalone Superhero films that have established their leading characters, these characters have crossed each others’ paths in the multi-billion dollar franchise of Avengers, they have also created different universes, or a “multiverse” as they are called. But what mostly goes under the radar of the average viewer are the existing series produced by the company.

These series’ are not only standalone narratives (some are), which are not part of the cinematic universe of Marvel, but they also provide alternate storylines and contexts for the company’s upcoming films. They are also quite favorable for the films as they save a lot of time for the establishment of characters and the inner workings of the characters and they also manage to give these characters a bigger canvas to explore their narrative and complexities that they have to deal with. Today, we will explore these narratives as we discuss the Marvel comic TV series that leapt from page to screen.
