While we loved almost every song nominated this year at the BBMAs from Blinding Lights by The Weeknd to Dynamite by BTS, there are a few hidden gems that we failed to praise enough.

Finally // beautiful stranger – Halsey
Written from her own perspective, the whole album is nothing but lyrical genius. This song is about falling in love with a stranger and the longing that comes with it. It’s raw, hopeful, and absolutely beautiful.
Blue World – Mac Miller
If driving in a car through a windy tunnel in the middle of the night was a song, it’s this one. Listening to this song is almost like hitting a refresh button, it makes you feel like springtime. This song from Miller’s last album ‘Circles’ provides closure to the years of work he spent cultivating. It’s a fitting epilogue to his accomplished life.
Let’s Fall in Love For the Night – FINNEAS
Do you have a crush on someone but don’t know how to tell them? Send them this song instead. The song takes the 1964 original version and transforms it into modern lounge music. The wonderful upbeat music with the equally beautiful voice of the artist makes it hard to not listen to it on repeat.
Bend The Rules – Niall Horan
This song is a perfect post-breakup melody portraying a relationship filled with lies and denial. You know the feeling when you realize your partner is not being completely honest to you, leaving out key details and giving the time which once only you enjoyed to someone else; this song captures it beautifully.
BLIND (feat. Young Thug) – DaBaby
If you enjoy chilled-out rap, this song by the two ultimate rap forces, DaBaby and Young Thug, is for you. The whole album itself has features from amazing artists including Gunna, Megan Thee Stallion, Future, and Roddy Rich, making it a dream for any R&B and rap fan.
Not You Too (feat. Chris Brown) – Drake
This R&B slow-burner showcases the agony of love-and-run romance with vocals by two of the top artists of our time. Even though Brown takes more of a backseat as he provides the background vocals during the verses, his unique voice is still praiseworthy. This is one of those songs that you listen to at night in your room with your lights dim.
Baby I’m Jealous (feat. Doja Cat) – Bebe Rexha
This song is a mainstream hyper-pop girl anthem, with lyrics that may be a bit toxic but still extremely enjoyable. Doja Cat’s unique rapping ability takes it up a notch. This song is vivid, loud, and worthy to be in your dance playlist.
