The Men’s hockey team made a dramatic comeback against Germany. Just when everyone thought India was in trouble, they changed history by defeating their opponent and breaking India’s streak of 41-year of no medals in hockey at the Olympics.
The U.N. demands information from Syria after the recently reported destruction of two chlorine cylinders.
U.N. is the international watchdog for chemical weapons and had issued strict orders that Syria not open, move or alter these cylinders without prior written consent. The chlorine cylinders in the talk are connected back to a deadly attack in 2018 on the Syrian town of Douma. And it was only after the destruction of these cylinders that U.N. found out they have been moved.
An American flight passenger was duct-taped to his seat for allegedly assaulting the flight attendants.
Maxwell Berry was arrested for groping and assaulting two female flight attendants during the flight from Philadelphia to Miami. He also punched a male attendant in the face and misbehaved a couple of times before the flight reached Miami, and he was arrested.
Delta plus variant of covid-19 enters South Korea after wreaking havoc in the whole world.
Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency found Korea’s first two delta plus variant cases on Tuesday. This variant is currently being studied, but scientists assume it to be more transmissive. Before it, cases have been found in Britain, Turkey, India, Portugal, the USA, and Canada.
