Topping the Netflix trending list in almost every nation, this show has completely stunned and amazed all of us! *Spoilers Ahead*
Here are the 9 shocking moments from Squid Game that we can’t forget!
When the players were introduced to the first game of Red Light, Green Light, they found it childish and frivolous. Everyone expected to win, but the moment they witnessed the first elimination, a chill ran down their spine!
It was not only terrifying for the participants but was also an unexpected twist for us! Death being the price of elimination was indeed a stunning and shocking scene for each one of us.
Gi-Hun Escaping Death
Gi-Hun’s portrayal as the protagonist, to some extent, established a connection with the watchers. This made us sit on the edge of our seats during the Sugar Honeycomb level when he was eliminated. It was solely due to his street smartness that he started to lick the honeycomb and carve out the shape. This scene certainly made us cross our fingers!
Tug Of War
The level of Tug of War was absolutely a stunner and astonishing scene for us! A team with players of low valor was likely to be eliminated! But with sheer determination and agility, Gi-Hun and his team overwhelmed each one of us!
This scene certainly proved that “Not all wars can be won solely with the might!”
Game Of Marbles
The saddest episode in this series has certainly been Episode 6. Neither the players nor we could expect such a twist to the whole scenario. Besides witnessing the sad instances, we also came across moments which made us question ourselves.
Living with Dementia, Oh ll-nam was being tricked by Gi-Hun for losing all his marbles. Near the end, he professed that he was playing along with Gi-Hun’s tyranny and handed him the last marble. This not only left us in stunned but also made us question ourselves about Oh ll-nam!
Ji-Yeong had been the outcast in the initial episodes, but her sudden decision during the marble game left us stunned! Ji-Yeong was an introvert who showed a glimpse of her immense strength and power during the tug of war. However, when paired against Sae-Byeok, she expressed her vulnerabilities. Her childhood memories left such a huge void in her heart that even huge prize money could fill that!
Sang Woo’s Transformation
Sang Woo is one of the most important characters in this show. Portraying him as an intelligent and sober person, his sudden change for the worse has surely dismayed us!
This transformed Sang Woo into a cunning person. The way he betrayed his mate Ali during the marble game, pushed a man off the glass bridge, and mercilessly killed Sae-Byeok was indeed heartbreaking and unbelievable for us! As he progressed towards the end, an unrealistic idea of winning millions of wins was turning to be true.
Han Mi-Nyeo’s End
Throughout the show, Han Mi-Nyeo played a dowdy role without even hinting at the pain she carried. It was until the glass bridge level where her emotional outburst truly stunned each one of us!
The way she locked Deok-Su in her arms as he resented to move forward on the glass bridge clearly indicated her sadness and pain in being betrayed by Deok-Su. The courageousness that she showed at the end surely made us pause for a moment!
The Brothers Face-off
Amidst the high tension games, the cop Jung-Ho’s search for his brother kept us glued to the screen. Little did we expect that his brother’s epiphany would be so shocking!
When the masked frontman was revealed to be Jung-Ho’s brother, all we were expecting was the disclosure of the whole thing. But as the twist went, Jung-Ho was shot dead by his own brother. This face-off indeed left all of us shocked and surprised!
The Mastermind Reveal
This one scene was the last yet most shocking from the whole series! As we all tried guessing who the VIPs were and their intention behind this, little did we know who the mastermind would be!
As Gi-Hun went to the mentioned place, we were as curious as him about the sender. The name on the card, though, made us guess, but it somehow didn’t match the equation. Just to spend his money, the initiative he started was completely mind-boggling! It left us jarred when the old, sick Oh ll-nam was found to be the mastermind.
Squid Game has surely left us with a lot of questions. Though the sequels are not expected as of now, the last scene of Gi-Hun getting off the flight in search of his answers maybe a hint for us! Until then, let us know in the comments below the moments that stunned you from the Squid Games!
