Moon Knight Season Finale – 4th May
Everyone’s new favorite show is coming to an end this Wednesday when Marc, now in the field of reeds, completes this mysterious tale. Since the last episode has a lot to cover and a lot of questions to answer, let’s see if there will be a 2nd season or a standalone film announcement.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness – 6th May
Another treat from the MCU in the same week, Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, finally releases in the first week of May and picks right after No Way Home events.
Thar – 6th May
Starring the Jhakaas Father-son duo, Anil Kapoor and Harshvardhan Kapoor, this western noir Netflix original is all set to blow our minds away. Also starring Fatima Sana Shaikh, Jitendra Joshi, and Satish Kaushik, the film follows Siddhartha (Harshavardhan), who is an antique dealer and has embarked on this journey of avenging his past.
Firestarter – 13th May
A remake of the 1984 film of the same name, this supernatural thriller is about a child named Charlie, who can turn fire into a weapon of mass destruction. Her parents try to protect her from a federal agency after her and find it hard to control Charlie’s growing power.
Modern Love: Mumbai – 13th May
This month, an Indian spin-off of the critically acclaimed romantic anthology series, Modern Love Mumbai premiers. It showcases several heartwarming stories of different people from different parts of the city.
Anek – 13th May
After Article 15, the duo of Ayushmann Khurrana and Anubhav Sinha is back with a socio-political action-thriller set against the political backdrop of Northeast India.
Jayeshbhai Jordaar – 13th May
Starring Ranveer Singh as the titular character, Jayeshbhai Jordaar is a comedy-drama that gives a social message about gender equality.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 – 20th May
Sequel to the hit 2007 film, the film marks the return of Manjulika and stars Kartik Aaryan, Kiara Advani, and Tabu in the lead roles.
Escaype live – 20th May
Disney Plus Hotstar’s new Indian original starring Siddharth, Jaaved Jaaferi, and Shweta Tripathi, this show follows the life of 6 ordinary people who partake in a competition, where they have to create viral content and emerge victorious, on an app called Escaype Live.
Panchayat Season 2 – 20th May
The long-awaited season 2 of this TVF-led, prime original is airing this month. Taking off from the successful first season, Panchayat 2 will showcase more of the equation between Abhishek, Manju Devi, and Pradhan pati, as they are up against a new opposition that will turn everything around for them.
HIT: The First Case – 20th May
A remake of the 2020 Telugu film of the same name, HIT, is an action-thriller about a police officer who has to investigate a homicide case while overcoming his tragic past. It stars Rajkumar Rao and Sanya Malhotra in the lead roles.
Dhaakad – 20th May
Starring Kangana Ranaut, this action thriller is about a fierce agent entrusted with a mission to eliminate an international human and arms trafficker who has been off the radar for ten years.
The film also stars Arjun Rampal and Divya Dutta in pivotal roles.
Stranger Things Season 4 Part 1 – 27th May
Part 1 of Stranger Things’ last season releases on 27th May and heads towards a spectacular battle between the cast and a new villain from the upside-down.
Downton Abbey: A New Era – 27th May
After a massively successful 6 season run and a hit film adaptation, the Crawley family is back with a sequel to the 2019 film and are embarking on a journey to France to uncover the mystery of the dowager countess’s newly inherited villa.
Top Gun: Maverick – 27th May
After multiple postponements, the highly anticipated sequel is finally releasing this month and follows Pete “Maverick” Mitchell on a new mission where he also must confront his deepest fears.
Obi-Wan Kenobi – 27th May
Set ten years after the events of Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith (2005), this miniseries stars Ewan McGregor as the titular character and his journey towards a new ‘rollicking adventure.’
