The weekend is here, and it is time to relax after hectic work days finally! No, wait, throw the guilt out of the window because you are not alone. Remember the cartoon characters we watched as kids who always made us want to leave everything and cozy up for sleeping? We are here to remind you of them again! Read on, and thank us later.
Laziest Cartoon Characters For The
Perfect Weekend Vibes
Page Contents
Nobita (Doraemon)
Who better to start off the list than our favorite 5th grader, Nobita? He has a unique superpower of falling asleep anywhere, anyplace, anytime. He hates physical exercise or any outdoor games in general. If you visit his room right now, you can probably find him napping on the floor after school. You can also sometimes find him napping in school. Or on the roads leading to the school. Umm get inspired, go sleep.
Shikamaru Nara (Naruto)
If you, too, think life is ‘such a drag,’ you probably already adore this character. Shikamaru Nara is highly intelligent and will put his life on the line for his clan, but as he famously said – ‘Laziness is the mother of all bad habits. But ultimately, she is a mother, and we should respect her.’ This lazy genius is in such a mood when he finds life, in general, annoying and troublesome. This weekend just quotes him – It is not because I am lazy, it is just because I don’t care – and chillax.

Patrick Starfish (SpongeBob SquarePants)
Lazy and overweight, Patrick starfish lives under the rock, quite literally. He inspires us to lie down, gorge on food, binge-watch Netflix, and not care about a thing in the world. Perfect weekend vibes, isn’t it? A fun twist, though, is that Patrick has no actual job! And sometimes, his idea of a day job also means a day of watching TV. But this works for him since he almost always visits his best friend’s house to eat, he made his own house using rocks, so he doesn’t have to pay rent – and most importantly, he lives underwater.

Snorlax (Pokemon)
Imagine a day of just eating and sleeping. These are the typical days of Snorlax, with occasional bouts of fighting in between. He also hates being disturbed while sleeping – well, don’t we all? If you are traveling through a forest and hear loud snoring noises from behind the bushes, that is probably just Snorlax living his life. Don’t disturb him! Unless you have food, of course. He is a powerhouse eater and can gorge on a year’s worth of food in one sitting! Modern day kumbhkaran, yes.
Garfield (Garfield and Friends)
A lazy, fat cat who hates Mondays – umm, hello spirit animal? Garfield is overly selfish and afraid of love – he only loves food since it cannot reject him. You can find him eating, sleeping, or struggling to find the perfect reclining position on the sofa to watch TV. Once when he couldn’t get comfortable on the sofa, he fixed the TV on the ceiling so he could watch it while lying down. You know there is nothing wrong with being Garfield for a day, right? Just saying.

Lazy Smurf (Smurfs)
Imagine being so lazy that your name itself is Lazy Smurf. Doubtlessly, he loves to sleep and can sleep anywhere, proving troublesome to his fellow Smurfs. However, his sleeping can also be useful, like when his snoring saved the others from being eaten by underground creatures! He is mild-mannered but, understandably, gets agitated when awakened rudely or doesn’t get enough sleep. Overall, he is SUPER adorable.
Homer Simpson (The Simpsons)
Lazy people are often ignorant of the world around them. In other words, we don’t care. Life is already too much without having to involve other worldly matters. This is exactly the weekend vibe we are aiming for! Homer Simpson is a clumsy and lazy father who would do anything to save his family but eat and sleep on loop once everything is over. He also has many emotional outbursts, which seems normal given the stressful life he leads.
Wimpy (Popeye)
This highly intelligent and educated man is also a lazy coward, but we can’t blame him. It is better if his spinach-eating friend does all the fighting rather than his hamburger-eating self. He can do anything and everything to get a free hamburger, promising to repay the coming Tuesday. Of course, that day generally never comes. He is also a soft-spoken romantic gentleman who rarely opens his eyes unless shocked or surprised.
On that note, a very happy weekend y’all. Hope you can all sleep guilt-free. Don’t forget to let us know who your favorite lazy cartoon character is.
